Natura BGA ED 8x42 - Slim Loghmari

      Thursday, June 25, 2020

Upon checking the view through the Natura, I was pleasantly surprised by the light transmission and colour fidelity exhibited across the full RGB spectrum. The eye relief was also very generous which made the Natura ideal for spectacles wearers. Looking in to the distance I couldn’t detect any chromatic aberration which is outstanding at this price point.

Whether I was studying ornate birds-of-paradise displaying high in the trees, viewing a panorama of hundreds of fruit bats crossing bright blue sky or appreciating a closer look at butterflies only a couple of metres away, the Opticron Natura BGA ED binoculars proved to be the perfect companion on my trip of a lifetime.

Natura BGA ED 8x42 - Tim Sexton

      Wednesday, August 21, 2019

The ED glass created a bright, clean image even with dark clouds overhead. When a male gadwall, still in breeding plumage came close to the bank, the vermiculations on its flanks appeared crisp and sharp. Despite trying to be critical, it was hard to notice any colour fringing - even during the rare occasions when the sun broke through the cloud.

Natura BGA ED 8x42 (pre 2019 model) - Steve Young

      Wednesday, November 30, 2016

With the comfortable strap fitted it was time for a proper test and at just 648 grams I didn’t find them heavy around my neck. I was immediately impressed with the true colours; everything was spot on, whether it was my garden Robin and Blackbirds, Lapwings at my local reserve or a mega-rare Cliff Swallow at Minsmere, Suffolk, the colours were true and neutral without any casts.
