The first thing I noticed was that it was very bright – surprisingly so when the high, 16x magnification coupled with the 42-mm objectives produces a low exit pupil value of only 2.6. The image is also nicely sharp and remains so to the edge of the field, where there is virtually no curvature and the chromatic aberration, though evident to some degree, is of little concern.
